El 20 Congreso Mundial de la Energía, se inicia hoy en Roma, con la presencia de los principales operadores del sector para discutir sobre el futuro de la energía en un mundo interdependiente, tema elegido para la cita de este año. Con más de 4.000 participantes, del mundo de la industria, instituciones e investigadores, tratarán de política energética y de las soluciones para un futuro energético más eficiente y sostenible.

La energía futura es un mundo interdependiente será el tema principal del la reunión, pero también se tratará sobre como asegurar no sólo el desarrollo económico sino también mejorar la calidad de la energía en favor del medioambiente. El congreso que se prolongará hasta el jueves próximo será abierto por el primer ministro italiano, Romano Prodi, y contará con la participación, entre otros del presidente de la comisión Europea; Jose Manuel Durao Barroso; el director general de la Organización Mundial del Comercio, Pascal Lamy, y el secretario estadounidense de Energía, Samuel W. The 20TH World Energy Congress & Exhibition is the most authoritative international energy meeting, and it will be held in Rome in the new venues of the “Nuova Fiera” from the 11TH to the 15TH of November 2007. This appointment will take place once again after fifteen years in Europe and for the first time in Italy.

It is promoted by the World Energy Council (WEC), which is the most important international energy organisation.

Alemania es uno de los agentes líderes mundiales en energías renovables. Es el mayor mercado en fotovoltaicos (PV), energía eólica y biodiesel, y espera llegar a ser el país número uno en energías renovables para 2020.
